FLYING CAR!!! IS IT IMPOSSIBLE?

Have you ever daydreamed about your car taking off and flying over the road?
Have you experienced driving your car in the traffic jam and your time is wasted just like that?

Imagine that you just need to press one button and your car will be flying up to the sky.

It’s so fantastic!

Flying car (aircraft), or roadable aircraft, is an automobile that can legally travel on roads and can take off, fly, and land as an aircraft.

HISTORY OF FLYING CAR
Flying Car has been made before in the early year 1965 by expert engineer.
In that time, flying car didn't get any intention by the government and consumer because the cost of flying car is not affordable.
The engineer also faces a lot of difficulties to make the flying car.

Fact : (Paul Moller has spent 40 years and millions of dollars developing his Skycar. He is now very close to developing the first mass-marketed flying car. In 1965, he demonstrated his first attempt, the XM-2, which hovered off the ground but didn't go anywhere. In 1989, Moller unveiled the M200X, which has now flown 200 flights and can go as high as 50 feet (15.24 meters)).

Attempt of some engineer:

•Curtiss Autoplane - In 1917, Glenn Curtiss, who could be called the father of the flying car, unveiled the first attempt at such a vehicle. His aluminum Autoplane sported three wings that spanned 40 feet (12.2 meters). The car's motor drove a four-bladed propeller at the rear of the car. The Autoplane never truly flew, but it did manage a few short hops.

•ConvAirCar - In the 1940s, Consolidated-Vultee developed a two-door sedan equipped with a detachable airplane unit. The ConvAirCar debuted in 1947, and offered one hour of flight and a gas mileage of 45 miles (72 kilometers) per gallon. Plans to market the car ended when it crashed on its third flight.

•Avrocar - The first flying car designed for military use was the Avrocar, developed in a joint effort between Canadian and British military. The flying-saucer-like vehicle was supposed to be a lightweight air carrier that would move troops to the battlefield.

Moller's latest design, the Skycar M400, is designed to take off and land vertically, like a Harrier Jet, in small spaces. It can reach speeds of 400 mph (644 kph), but will cruise at around 350 mph (563 kph), and it has a range of 900 miles (1449 km). Gasoline, diesel, alcohol, kerosene and propane can be used to fuel the Skycar, and its fuel mileage will be comparable to that of a medium-sized car, getting 20 miles (32.2 km) to the gallon. The initial cost of a Skycar will be about $1 million, but once it begins to be mass produced that price could come down to as low as $60,000.

The four-seat Skycar is powered by eight rotary engines that are housed inside four metal housings, called nacelles, on the side of the vehicle. There are two engines in each nacelle so that if one of the engines in one of the nacelle fails, the other engine can sustain flight. The engines lift the craft with 720 horsepower, and then thrust the craft forward. The Wankel engine replaces pistons of a conventional engine with a single triangular rotor spinning inside an oval-shaped chamber, which creates compression and expansion as the rotor turns. There are three combustion chambers in the Wankel, with a crankshaft between them.

So, it is not impossible to have flying car in the road and sky in the next ten years.
Get ready to have one!

  1. Some people may criticize about flying car..
They said that if accident happened, the probability the victim to die if he is driving flying car is higher than driving normal car..
This is because when accident happened in the sky, the victim will be falling down to the ground and obviously he can die immediately..
    Is there any comment?

  2. scientist have do a deep research about this flying car. if they can build this technology, why can't they build a safety feature in this flying car.maybe they have put a parachute inside the car so that accident can be prevent and people feel safe enough to fly this car.

  3. it is true that this flying car can save our time because it can prevence us from traffic jam...however,if in the highway,we do have policeman to control the road.
so,how about the policeman in the sky?
is it the same like in the road?

  4. But the possibility to survive is too little because many people don’t know how to use parachute..How long to take flying car license?

  6. Salam..
    wow!
i really wonder if i ever can be on that flying car..drive it on my own..maybe next time..its really wonderful to come out with this technology..it will help us a lot in the future..
but do the driver of flying car need a special license for driving that?

  8. Of course they need a licence to drive these flying cars man...
even when we drive a normal car,we still need to have a licence, right??
so,the government will make a new law to ask people to have a driving licence to fly these kind of cars...

  9. to wan:Whenever using flying car of course energy and fuel will be consumed more compared to normal car.As a impact, the pollution will be twice.
So how to handle this problem on the way to maintain green environment?

  10. to muslim:i think we can use electric to generate this flying car.As we know that electric not pollute the air. So,green environment can be preserved.

  11. As far as i am concerned, basically car still use electric source of energy such as accumulator to generate the power of the car.but, car still polluted the environment,in terms of air pollution.

  13. so if we're using electric energy..how can we maintain that?
what i mean is that using electricity must have its limit right?
so does it mean its limited on the air??

  14. I just thinking, if we have a flying car, is it we have to have the 'air traffic' such an aeroplane highway? How about the rules on the road? Is it cancelled because of all people can freely drive their car in the sky?

  15. To Diniy, for me, everything has their own limit, including the resources of power. It is not about we are talking to overcome the limit, but how should we manage it to become really efficient. I suggest that, RnD must have make a research about how to use a little amount of energy (electricity for example) to generate great power.

  18. Insya-Allah Umar..
you can buy flying car in the next ten years if you have enough money..
I agree with Ali about using the electricity to generate this flying car in order to have the green environment..
I also agree about Hasbullah idea about the limitation..
We as consumer need to manage our journey so that we can use the electricity efficiently..

  19. i think if we just use that electricity charge this flying car, what will happen if all of sudden the energy that support this car empty and at the same time we are in the air??!!
what do you think the developres should do to keep this situation just be only in our mind and will never happen??

  20. i think i'm just miss the discussion..but it's not too late to post a comment.. I agree with Affan..should we build an emergency building in the sky..maybe the flying car will not have time to land in the ground..

how we're are gonna arrange that??should we worry about the aeroplane also??

  22. in my opinion diniy, this flying car can fly but it will be not high as the aeroplane..maybe we can arrange it buy using the machine that can warn us so we would not fly higher..

  23. also, create a specific way to fly these cars so that the aeroplane and cars do not collide each others....maybe create tunnel in the air so that cars can enter the tunnel and it can prevent accident in the air..
