Robotic Army..

ROBOTIC ARMY are autonomous robots or remote-controlled devices designed for military applications.Such systems are currently being researched by a number of militaries. Already remarkable success has been achieved with unmanned aerial vehicles like the Predator drone, which are capable of taking surveillance photographs, and even accurately launching missiles at ground targets, without a pilot. A subclass of these are Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles, which are designed to carry out strike missions in combat.

Advantages
Major Kenneth Rose of the US Army's Training and Doctrine Command outlined some of the advantages in robotic technology in warfare:"Machines don't get tired. They don't close their eyes. They don't hide under trees when it rains and they don't talk to their buddies ... A human's attention to detail on guard duty drops dramatically in the first 30 minutes ... Machines know no fear."
Increasing attention is also paid to how to make the robots more autonomous, with a view of eventually allowing them to operate on their own for extended periods of time, possibly behind enemy lines. For such functions, systems like the Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot are being tried, which is intended to gain its own energy by foraging for plant matter.

Potential risks
In 2009, academics and technical experts attended a conference to discuss the impact of the hypothetical possibility that robots and computers could become self-sufficient and able to make their own decisions. They discussed the possibility and the extent to which computers and robots might be able to acquire any level of autonomy, and to what degree they could use such abilities to possibly pose any threat or hazard. They noted that some robots have acquired various forms of semi-autonomy, including being able to find power sources on their own and being able to independently choose targets to attack with weapons. They also noted that some computer viruses can evade elimination and have achieved "cockroach intelligence." They noted that self-awareness as depicted in science-fiction is probably unlikely, but that there were other potential hazards and pitfalls.

Some experts and academics have questioned the use of robots for military combat, especially when such robots are given some degree of autonomous function. The US Navy has funded a report which indicates that as military robots become more complex, there should be greater attention to implications of their ability to make autonomous decisions.

  1. wow!!!
this is a brilliant idea for the country defence system...
but, are they gonna make the world become worse??
many wars will happen if these robotic army are invent..
and who knows, World War III could happen because of this invention...

  2. WOAH...! REALLY? it will help a country alot..
but it may use a thousand of anti-virus to protect the system..otherwise,the countyr will "boomb"..

  3. This technology perhaps is very useful in millitary. We can programme the robotic army whether to attack or to defense. I believe it will result reducing lost of life of 'real' armies. Anyhow, when they are hacked, or used for the wrong purposes, the result is, many people will be killed.. I can't imagine, what will happen. Is it will become very chaotic such in the 'Terminator' movie?

  4. yes...i interested with hasbullah statement..if this robots hack, they will get mad and human will be the victims...since we are love to be alive longer,i can't accept that situation...i love myself!!!!

  5. This technology is great..
But I am just wondering that why we need to have a robot?
It doesn't have brain and feeling man..

  6. yes.. we love ourselves so much.. thus, this tech must be invented as soon as possible,if the world getting 'trouble'..let the robots begin.

  7. When this robot is hack, i think a lot problem will happen..
Maybe the government need to repair the robot..
It will use a lot of money..
And maybe it will cause a lot destruction on buildings and the most worse, it will attack human...

  8. In the logical sense, robot will help us in a lot of works nowadays; in factory, in fact, there are robots that are functioning as maid in certain country. Of course, we cannot assume that robot are acting like human and their appearance like a man.

In military, this robotic army, if we trust in the technology, and we assume that there are no hacking, it is very efficient to be a great weapon.

Now, by that assumption, we can coclude, if there are any destruction, it is not because of the robot, but, it is because of the human attitude.

Look, can you tell me, whether robot is bad or human?

  9. is this robot have intelect or a'kal when they had been used in war??i asked that as my mind keep thinking what will this robot's victims in the war??
is it will kill all people including child and woman??
has it used something to differentiate between man and woman and child in the war???bcause ISLAM dont allowed to kill child and woman, right??
    i need some explaination!! please!!!

  10. yeah..the robots are possible to harm human being..no matter how good the invention is, there still have a weaknesses..so we can't fully depend on the robots..but it's a good idea if the robots is control by the human..

  11. so it will give alot of benefits to society.but,in my opinion, the human army will be isolated and it will create a loss to the country.how about it??

  12. I totally agree with muslim...
by any chance the robotic army will replace the human being job as an army..so many life can be saved..but for me we should not create the robotic army with a system that it is control by the computer..have any one of you ever seen the movie called eagle eye??
we can see right how the system suddenly control by itself and become uncontrolled and started to erase the human race..its scary right??

  13. so the robotic army should be controlled by the human not by the system...it can bring many negative effect on the future as the innovation of technology are rapidly increase..

  14. yeah right,
if these machines are operated by itself,
many people can be harm by it because they don't have brain to detect who is right or who is guilty.so,is it necessary for machine to have brain???

  15. No robotic of course not using brain as they use binary language. So, as the robot being set as friendly users they will not harm the human.

robot is surely do not have brain as it is not human,so human need to set this robot so they can think like human...
